Breaking News: Looks like Battlestar Peacock will be delayed. Deadline is reporting that Battlestar Peacock showrunner Mike Lesslie is adapting some old dead broad's book for Hulu. "Deadline understands that Lesslie is no longer involved". Details about Battlestar Peacock from UCP are minimal. We got the big news that Sam Esmail was the guy in charge to resurrect the space opera franchise for the Universal/NBC streamer, Peacock. Then we got cryptic notes and tweets that the reboot wasn't going to be a reboot, Sam Esmail fawned praise for Ron Moore's work. Then we got word that Mike Lesslie would be the show-runnner of the reboot. Mike Lesslie would create the universe of Battlestar Peacock, direct, produce and run the writer's room. Mike Lesslie delivered boiler-plate about being a fan of both versions, respecting Larson and Moore's work, yadda-yadda. Then almost buried was a leak about casting Adama and a Starbuck that was genderless or pangendered, maybe A-sexual. Then up till now radio silence. We have no idea on whether there was a falling out between Esmail and Lesslie but there must be a story.
Correction: Margaret Atwood is very much alive.
Sources on Twitter reveal that Chevy Chase is playing Joe Biden for an Air Force One skit tomorrow night on SNL. So far it is just a one time appearance unless real world events demand otherwise.
Let the Easter Egg hunt begin.
Have you needed to slow down the action to 6 frames per second, to let's say get a good look at an Easter Egg in your favorite film? With Amazon's latest version of Fire Stick you can do just that. Precision Frames Per Second allows you to slow what you're watching down to low as 3 frames per second.
"This isn't just something a booger eater in your house can use for nipple slips. For example in Justice League, at the 1:53:40 mark you can slow things down to see the exact moment Ray Fisher's heart breaks as he says booyah", Mark Grey, Amazon Prime Services.
We can't wait to use this feature while screening Ready Player One.
HBO Max is pulling a last minute maneuver to make a big splash!
Running a streaming service once was if not easy at least not done under a microscope. Now launching a streaming service is a gamble with million dollar chips. At HBO Max both Casey Bloys and Andy Forssell placed a pile of chips on Justice League: The Snyder Cut. Recently the HBO Max promotional machine has been churning out Godzilla vs. Kong content but there's a problem. The giant monster disaster flick isn't generating the buzz HBO Max is looking for. Mike Sheehan of the tracking firm Sheehan, Sheehan & Guerrero said, "like watching paint dry level of interest". Inside sources said Bloys and Forssell have a plan, they just need time to execute it. The biggest hurdle was getting Zack Snyder on board, that happened last night.
"Initially I wasn't interested. HBO Max parked a Brinks Truck in front of my house. Literally an armored car of cash in front of my house. My wife said you're doing this". Zack Snyder
The plan? Justice League vs. Kong & Godzilla: The Snyder Cut. Reshoots are expected to be done by March 21st with an April 15th release date on the streamer.
